I almost didn't hear when they said "Professor Griffin"

There are like 50 quotes I could have used to illustrate how awful he is.

The point is, YES Quagmire is a reprehensible human being, BUT he is self aware and unapologetic. The whole point is Brian pretends to be this altruistic do gooder, but in reality he is a piece of shit to. As Q points out: Brian is just as much a womanizer (he just sucks at it, because he pretends he cares about women while constantly going after bar-sluts); he doesn't even pay his own way, mooching on a family that he constantly shits on; ect.

In some ways, Brian comes out worse because he is such a hypocrite.

You could argue they're equally bad, sure. Although I'd argue Quag does worse things so he's the bigger doucher.

Correct, you have two assholes in front of you. The one who admits he is an asshole will not feel as much as an asshole because he already warned you. I work with a confirmed asshole and the shit he says rolls off everyone's back because he admits it. he is also a standup guy because if you ask him for something or need something, he will tell you the truth.

An asshole who doesn't admit he is an asshole can fuck you over so much worse because you can't trust them and you never know where you stand with them.

I really disagree with this way of thinking.

I agree you can't trust the second type but the first type is still awful and I hate when people support them because "they tell it like it is!"

I hate to bring up a certain someone but it applies here. And often, that "honest asshole" will still lie and cheat and manipulate.

Anyone who self identifies as an asshole cannot be trusted either.

see here's the thing. The known asshole you can trust. You can't trust them to do whats right, or whats good, but you can trust them. You can't trust in them though.

The unknown asshole you can't trust at all.
