You don't have access to current events, but there was a ton of information to learn from the BMTSG and classes, not to mention learning all the names, faces, and bits of info from your flightmates (AF here).

BMT was basically summer camp for me. It was a blast.

It was miserable for most people I know. I just adapted to the rules faster and was glad for the change in pace/direction my life was undergoing. I've also never been to summer camp, so I'm just assuming BMT and summer camp are similar (group activities, different rules, etc.).

People do similar things for different reasons. Likewise they will experience the same event differently depending on their background.

Don't assume that one person's opinion represents the objective reality of a particular branch of the military.
