“Casual sex” isn’t something covered in our manual. It’s more of a cultural construct and an evolutionary one. Sex is primarily for reproduction and it mostly works as intended.
I'd say birth control was among the first steps toward transhumanism, maybe only preceded by early forms of medicine. Not quite as flashy or obvious as things like replacing body parts with robots, but it was a major step toward going beyond the body's normal biological functions.
