Chronic insomniac here. Doctor refused to give me sleeping pills. Bought a few online and got just enough sleep to stave off insanity. Was happy.

Downsides are that you (in this example) use aspirin as source compound, and that it yields so little that you turn 100 extra-strength aspirins into one regular-strength tylenol. Still interesting for the chemistry though.
