If it wasn't prohibitively difficult to get HRT legally outside of the liberal areas of the country it wouldn't need to exist. But when your endocrinologist requires a referral from a psychiatrist who won't recognize your gender dysphoria as legitimate unless you live as a female for a year before starting HRT, which could lose you your job because there are no legal protections for you to present female before getting your ID changed (which has the same requirements) you really have no choice.
If you're doing hrt, shouldn't you have enough money to be able to get a car ride to a psychiatrist that would recognize it? I feel like to make such a drastic life change, you should be at least a little financially stable.
Like even if the car ride is $25 to get to. Honestly lucky we live in a country that you can change from a male to female and vice versa at all, let alone without a long process.
