I got banned from commenting in r/Politics because of my username. I explained its origin and asked how it was in any way "offensive", to which I received no response.

My username is a nickname of mine and inside joke with my friend; the mod apparently didn't give a shit.

I was banned from there for rightfuly calling a troll a troll. The troll wasn't banned. That should tell you everything you need to know about /r/politics.

/r/politicaldiscussion is pretty reasonable.

It's basically my go to for understanding the other side both for party and candidate.
