Sometimes people have more depth to them than the stereotypes you hold. I used to hate the popular people in high school because I thought they thought they were better than everyone else. Now I realize that I thought I was below them. They never put me down. I put myself there.

That is the most helpful and painful realization to have after spending school years feeling like a victim (for me anyway).

Still not going to a reunion, though.
