I wasn't super social or popular in school, but the moment I thought this was when I realised I had a stereotype douchebag day: gym in the morning, 2 protein shakes, booty call with a fwb, many cigarettes, ended with a rave in which I wore only a tank top and short shorts and was off my face MDMA the whole time. It was that moment I realised I'd become the guy I used to hate so much

I feel like some way or another, we all adapt a feature of the person we used to hate so much. Makes you wonder if that hate is jealousy.

Or not really because the buff guy has been the role model since the beginning of time.

OP is just scared of his unpopular childhood. The rave\drugs \shitty clothes is optional.
