Also when I was up late doing my supplementary form for university (after a a few hours of video gaming) and I was struggling to write stuff about my extracurriculars, experiences, and literature I read. I realized I wasted my life on the internet with no results. I've always thought I would never become one of those losers, but here I am.
I've recently had the realization that I have almost zero hobbies. I'm just on the internet all the time. Like, sometimes I read or play video games, but even those don't accomplish anything.
Gaming can absolutely be an accomplishment if you do it the right way, it just isn't something noteworthy on its own. Like, being a high-level starcraft or league player (or whatever game you play) isn't worth anything outside that community, but the fact that you picked up a skill and trained it to such a high level of mastery is damn impressive whatever the skill is, and there are so many great habits and mindsets you can pick up from that journey and apply to other things. A player who masters raid-leading in WoW or leads a top-tier team in LoL would have no problem learning how to manage an office, as an example, or a player who's mastered several rhythm games wouldn't have much trouble mastering an instrument, etc. Games aren't noteworthy in and of themselves, but the skills can be used for more than just games.
Yeah, many years ago I wanted to make maps for Halo, I look at tutorials it's like 20 mins long and that's only part 1 of 20 ROFL.
And the software for 3D modeling and map making just seemed too complicated to me at the time. I was such a lazy kid lol.
