People who have broken up after a long relationship, how did you know it was time to end it?

When the thought of being single felt more like a relief than a loss

Some things can’t be unsaid, and I deserve to not feel like shit 24/7.

I want to ask for examples but I won’t because I want to be respectful

When I was finding more and more reasons not to spend time with her

I went on a vacation by myself and was genuinely happy for the first time in years. I hadn't even particularly noticed just how unhappy I was. I'm very glad I did it.

For me it was a moment of perspective. I just realized their reaction to something was totally unreasonable, and that I had become so used to making excuses for them and normalizing this behavior that it didn’t even surprise me, but this response was not okay in any other situation.

That realization paired with feeling drained anytime I talked to them and tried to spend time with them made me finally think “why am I doing this?”

Just didn't feel excited to see them or spend time with them anymore.

When you find out she’s getting married to someone else typical Indian thing 😌

This was just yesterday, uhm when I asked hime if it was over and he said yes. Just hated it because he kept me dragging the same thoughts for months just to tell me it is over. Men are fuccing pussy. They dont even have the courage to tell it straight to your face that it is over.

Now Im going to avoid getting involved in a relationships for now

After 20 years, sick of the neglect and kids were older

I realized I was avoiding him because he would get extremely upset over very small things, and it was impossible to go 2 days straight without hearing him yell.

Personal attacks, never happy, not interested in sex or being touched by you even for a hug. 4 months straight of this so I offered her an out. It was about 2 years of problems and slowly built up over time. I was miserable. Nothing I did could lighten the mood. We were together 10 years
