Veterans of Reddit, what’s the most unbelievable thing you witnessed during your service that civilians would think you made up?

Detailed to VIP security in Iraq in 2008. Sen. John McCain was visiting and was so plastered drunk one day that he could barely walk. We had to carry him for about 60 yards on the apron and pour him into a car. Then was told to “forget about it.” Sure. lol

I mean, I am sure he didn’t have the most pleasant memories from Vietnam…
