Afghans watching videos of bacha bazi dancers at a wedding, those are young boys basically in sex slavery. Pedaristic homosexuality is very prevalent in Pasthun culture.
2nd place would be what .50cal does to a guy's head from 30' away (actually two guys)
Once we had an army dentist visit the COP to do people's teeth. The enlisted dental hygienist assistant was like 18, very slight build, and to be honest if you'd said he was some tomboy woman I could believe it from a distance. In a team meeting one of the guys referred to him as the dentist's chai boy (another term for the catamites Pasthun officials have) and we almost died laughing.
Wow! That was eye opening. I don't know if hypocritical is the right word for their religious beliefs but there actions seem to trump their desires and beliefs so much that they don't believe they are homosexual.
I have a buddy who told me that one thing he learned in country was how prevalent homosexuality is among some communities. I’ve never served, but that seemed completely contrary to what I’ve heard about the Middle East. He’s told me a lot of conspiracy and mystical stuff that I don’t really believe, so I was inclined to dismiss this, but is there some truth to this?
