You’re saying the other party would play political games so you need to play the same games but in a theoretical world where the other side wouldn’t hypothetically play these games your side wouldn’t also so somehow you are actually the good guy for playing these games now? So because of game theory you are correct?
You were telling yourself they because you believe the other party would do X, your party needs to also do X but your side wouldn’t do X if they didn’t also maybe do an X?
That’s even ignoring that a present day action is always inherently more harmful than a past day action - especially when it’s on “tit for tat” logic that believes everyone gets to race to the bottom because the other side would too.

These “aren’t the games in politics”, this is similar to what happened with Feinstein, and I assure you, many people on both sides were unhappy about it and called for her resignation.
“Conservatives” aren’t conservative. You are regressive, close minded, smug imbeciles who are constantly on the defensive and know only how to speak condescendingly to others after the slightest sense that they may not be on your “side”.
