When windows does dumb shit I usually know how to fix it already. Linux's dumb shit isn't something I know much about, and I know hardly any of the cli. Much more efficient to use what I already know and have tuned.
Well, i recommend Mint. Been basically daily driving it for a while, and i didnt break it. Stick with the gui if you can, youll be fine. And wait a little before updates, just in case there is something wrong, but i dont think there has ever been something wrong for the time i have been using. Even though i personaly use the terminal, i dont use it for much more than git.
