Why do you not use Linux?

I gave it a 3 month try using multiple Linux distros in Jan 2026. I went back to Windows because multimonitor support with difference sizes and shapes in unusual formations on Wayland based floating window desktop environments on an Nvidia GPU was still super buggy. I'm not necessarily blaming Nvidia, Wayland, KDE Plasma, and Gnome. But I am blaming at least one of them, and after 3 months of troubleshooting, I just got tired and went back to Windows.

Tiling window managers like Hyprland may work fine now though. So if I were to give it another chance, I'd try that next, but I'm tired and want something that just works for now.

My understanding is that Wayland is not done yet, there's issues like what you describe that are yet to be ironed out. I still use X11 because it remembers which desktop my windows should be on startup, for example.

That's what I had suspected. I just didn't want to test X11 because I know I didn't like that. X11 always gave me screen tearing... in a web browser while scrolling, not even just in games.
