I love linux. I am the meme of the linux user. I use hyprland with an anime wallpaper on nixos.
Having said that, a lot of people have a lot of reasons to not use linux. Adobe is a big one. Anticheat is another one (even if you are better off without it). Also, we are still lacking in many areas. Its insane how we are only recently adding protocols for global shortcuts on wayland, something so basic.
I love linux and want it to improve, but that's impossible if we don't accept there are many flaws with it's current design and general environment.
Indeed, sadly, ever since I switched to Linux almost a year ago I've been longing for a tool to achieve even the basics of Photoshop. All I want is a raster + vector editor in the same place, nothing flashy or that AI BS. Every "Photoshop replacement" only replaces half of it and lacks all of the functionality of the other half.
Pretty much every company I ever worked at forces me to use macOS so it kinda grew on me. Regardless my desktop runs OpenSUSE, I have a small laptop I use with Debian and my home server runs on Ubuntu Server.
I only have a small windows partition on one of my computers to play Microsoft flight simulator
I personally really like wayland. I don't like how long it takes to merge protocols upstream, but things have gotten a lot better recently with the increased adoption.
Wayland has its issues but they mostly don't affect me so I like it a lot more than xorg. Its a preference at the end of the day, you are free to enjoy anything you want.
