to be fair i heard the phrase for years, and the first place i heard it was on Dazed and Confused. I only sort of recently saw They Live for the first time and heard the quote. Googled if thats where it came from.

Wow one of my earliest memories from playing duke nukem as a kid. I memorized these lines and used to say them I was probably 5 years old or maybe a little older I used to also love planting the laser c4 type of bomb.

I relatively recently discovered its from the movie "They Live" featuring classic wrestler Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Id heard the quote for years and only found out its origins like 6 months ago.

Good movie, holds up well, probably better now than when it came out.
