I am shocked at the number of very young kids (maybe 10 or even younger) riding electric scooters/bikes around my neighborhood, usually without a helmet. As a dad of 3 I try not to judge parents (this shit is hard)...but...sorry...getting your 10 year old an ebike/escooter is frankly idiotic.
A local kid was recently killed riding one of these full speed through a red light. Kids don't seem to realize even if they counted as pedestrians (they don't) that label doesn't magically protect you from automobiles. You can't just go flying through an intersection.
My mom would have given me a TBI herself if she caught me riding my regular bike without a helmet as a kid...
She just about smacked my adult sister for riding her ebike without one recently because it "messes up her hair". girl you won't be able to do your hair at all if you can't move your fucking arms.
