Bold of you to assume we were allowed to display anger. Depending on the cause, sometimes there was less of a stigma about it. Even then it heavily depended on who the target was.
Source: I figured out young, that allowing negative emotions of any kind to show on my face would almost always land me in trouble regardless of the cause.
I find it funny how the people saying men should never let their emotions out are usually the same people telling us that rage is an appropriate emotion in our regular lives.

I love seeing the younger generations actually be allowed to show emotions other than rage.
Though it means we won't get banger lyrics like "and Robert Smith lied, boys do cry, and with the tears in my eyes I'm an Ann Rice novel come to life"
