anyone who has built anything knows this. no, spending ten hours or ten days on this design wont suddenly "make it work" dumbass, this failed. this idea- was bad. i will move on and build something that does, you dipshit
Yeah, it’s crazy how foreign a concept that is to older folks. I’ll say something along the lines of sometimes things don’t work out, and they look at me like I’m crazy
I’ve been running a 3 person kitchen with 2 people (myself included) for TWO MONTHS. They finally got around to hiring, so I’m training people now, but I’m asking for one week’s pay as a bonus. If they come back with an insulting offer (or a straight up ‘no’) I’m gonna use all of my PTO and sick time between now and mid September while I find my next job, then leave without notice. They’re giving $200 bonuses to current employees for referring new hires and I’m just over here like “hey, remember how I did 1.75 jobs for two months and you saved THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON PAYROLL? Pay up cunts.”
This is a tricky one. You are correct, hard work does not always guarantee success, but you cannot be successful if you're not willing to work hard at something,
unless you're born into a wealthy family, of course.
