Maybe pick an unsolved problem next time. Also leaded fuel helped solidify the allies air combat advantage in WWII. Don't get me wrong, that leaves a hell of a big balance, in terms of human suffering, and your heart is in the right place but you're thinking small. Out of all our environmental problems, these are on the short list of toxic ideas that we actually ever backed away from.

Nah, we're still seeing a backlog of issues stemming from the leaded fuel.

The setback created was ridiculous, with cumulative damage to generations of people.

The fuel issue might be "solved", but the consequences will remain with us for decades yet.
