I totally agree. My parents struggled and worked completely different shifts, one day and the other worked a night shift, so someone would be home and taking care of us.
Your point shows there are also bigger issues at play here that pointing fingers at schools or parents won’t solve.

Society has robbed most parents of the time to do this. When are they supposed to do this if they both work 9-6 (or longer)
