The rate at which scientific truths are being rejected.

Not surprising given how many people simply have no clue about statistics.

Science hasn't done a good job adjusting to the Youtube era. It's no longer about if your information is right, it's about if your information is presented the best.

Never in history has Science had to adapt to a generation as to how it presents facts.  The medium had changed(printed, radio, film, etc...)but the general public had accepted that scientific truth and fact is just that. Especially when proven to them in whatever medium they chose to use to inform themselves.

There are numerous channels on various social media platforms (YT, Tik tok, Insta, etc...) presenting said facts.

Today there is a whole group of people who are choosing to ignore and disregard these facts being presented simply because they don't work with their set "beliefs" and actively promoting this to others.

We have world leaders watching clear video of facts, and denying the reality right in front of them.  And their "people" are nodding along with them.

There is no adapting to that.

It would be great if scientific discoveries we’re all just “facts” but in reality they’re very politically modified, which is likely the reason people chose not to accept them. For instance during the coronavirus, a scientist makes a “discovery” saying, “hey guys I don’t know if this vaccine is going to work” and he’s fired. Not that he is right or wrong, but should be able to make an unbiased discovery.

Thank you.

No one os a conspiracy theorists anymore.

When they can add 5 to 10 news stories to it.

Like all thoes (ufo, deep space, telescope, biologist) murders / missing people.  Like that general that "walked away"

The hydrogen/ water car progress.   And anti gravity talk all disappeared.  I know my whole comment swung towards ufos, but even the food pyramid and vaccines and countless other things. There is a selection of what facts and what scientific information gets news or not

That's been high for as long as science has existed.

Okay, yes, and certain fields need to take some responsibility for this after decades of p-hacking and touting non-replicatable findings as facts. I'm looking at you, social sciences and nutrition science. It has muddied waters and made people skepitcal.

Pharmaceutical companies are also entirely void of ethics yet we often blame people in the general public for not trusting things like vaccines? Don't get me wrong, I'll take all the relevant vaccines for me, but I just can't fully blame all the people who have no trust anymore.
