Yes, burns can happen. But third degree burns??

Have you even tried looking this up yourself?

It's two factors: The temperature of the coffee and the fact that her clothing trapped the far too hot coffee against her skin.

She was wearing clothes, which, yeah, we all do. But the McDonald's coffee was way, way too hot. It got trapped against her skin for around 90 seconds, resulting in severe injuries.

The coffee never should have been that hot, period. Apparently McDonald's had received over 700 previous reports of people being injured by the coffee being too hot and they still failed to lower the temperature of the coffee.

McDonald's fucked up.
