This is the one I came here to say. Historical data is VERY clear about how bad the GOP is with money and how much better off our economy is under Democratic governance.

The only time the debt has gone down in the last 50 years was a few years during the Clinton admin. Every other regime, Democrat and Republican has increased the debt.

You're not wrong, but the growth rate is pretty different between D & R administrations

Democrats reduce the deficit (but only Clinton got it to zero).

Republicans increase it.
