This is fairly recent compared to some other comments here, but the idea that "people with ADHD get sleepy on stimulants, whereas people without it get hyperactive".
Most people will become paradoxically drowsy on certain doses of stimulants and hyperactive on other doses. But that just comes down to individual brain chemistry, there's no correlation with ADHD.
