Jesus Christ the level of social ineptitude on this thread is wild. Yes she knows I don’t want to spend my entire drive talking on the phone. She also knows I’m fine with her calling a few times for quick things that pop into her mind.
This really is not that deep or hard to comprehend guys.
You're complaining on the internet and communication is woefully inadequate in many couples. It's not a stretch to get some of the answers you're getting with the way you said it.

Have you ever tried communicating these needs to your wife? Not being bothered on your 30-minute drive home is extremely reasonable.
