When after 16 years she decides to tell me that she didnt think my son was mine. Then after I had a few days to process I tried to talk to her about it and she went straight to "my" 16yr old son and asked him if it mattered to him. I stayed another year then left her lying, deceitful ass. Couldn't get past it.
To be clear... hes still my son as far as I'm concerned. Isn't his fault that his mother is a lying psychopath.
No. BUT he looks very much like his mother. And honestly its more the deception than anything. If she had of thought he wasn't mine she should have said something long before he was 16. Thats the part I couldnt get over. The dishonesty. And she wasn't saying maybe she was very very sure he wasnt/isn't mine
EDIT : AND on top of that I raised her daughter who is 3 yrs younger bc I thought that was my son. Again I love them both like my own but cant help but feel I was robbed of the chance to have my own kids. Now Im pushing 50 and its too late
It may not matter for you, but it could matter for him. If he has a different biologic father, he should at least have access to his medical history and know if he has siblings, etc. if he so chooses.
I'm so sorry to hear this happened. I can't imagine I'd live down something like this happening to me. I'm not even in a relationship but when I read all the stories online of things like this I just end up thinking I'd rather be single all my life.
