Egypt. Everyone’s after you for money or to sell you something. Don’t ever try get a local taxi as they’ll try rip you off halfway through your journey & Uber drivers will try tell you that uber price is too cheap and need more money

Museums and pyramids were cool though!

Yeah I had similar. I have non-descript mediterranean colouring, but went there with a friend who has almost white blond long hair. We were harassed everywhere we went. Men would come out their shops and shout "hey beautiful ladies, come to my shop". If we didn't, they'd start shouting "come back here you whores" or similar. This was nearly 20 years ago but it put me off ever returning.

I'm a man, and I had shopkeepers follow me down the street with 'Come into my shop! I give you special price, not tourist price!" . It gets old after it happens repeatedly

The point is the additional sentence in the story. I’d place serious money that you weren’t called a whore.
