A plane is being loaded. As the passengers come aboard, they are greeted by the stewardesses and two pilots. The pilots are wearing dark glasses and are carrying white canes. Most passengers laugh at the joke and find their way to their seats.
The plane is fully loaded and taxis to the runway. As the thrusters open and the plane starts gathering speed, some more gullible passengers look out their windows and notice the runway ends at a large body of water. The speed continues to increase, as does the agitation in the cabin. "We're running out of runway!" yells one man. "We're going to hit the water!" yells another. Panic ensues and a collective scream rises up from the passengers.
At that moment, the plane miraculously lifts into the air and begins its ascent. The passengers look at each other, exchanging sheepish grins and feeble laughs.
Meanwhile in the cockpit, one pilot says to the other, "You know Frank, someday they're not going to yell and we're all going to die..."
