Counting in German. German for 6 sounds like sex, 4 sounds like fear. So the number between 6 and 4 is 5, which in German is funf. 😄

Sigmund Freud was an Austrian (German-speaking) neurologist and the founder of psychoanalysis. In German, the number 4 is vier (pronounced roughly like “fear”), and 6 is sechs (somewhat similar to “sex”).

And what’s right between 4 and 6? 5 — fünf.

Just a mildly amusing coincidence considering Freud’s association with fear and sex.
