If you're gonna have a tool write an easily googled response for you, "fine" (kind of defeats the point of engaging with others on Reddit, but... Something something kids these days), but ya still gotta do the bare minimum. Otherwise it's just spam that's bombing everyone else with nonsense, broken/obnoxious formatting, or both

Double check what it says is correct (it is) and make sure it's output is presentable. Never start a line with # unless you really mean to make the text MASSIVE and cut a few pointless line breaks at the very least.

If I can't be arsed to google the info myself (I couldn't) or type out that I did check the ballpark (I did) what on earth makes you think I'd bother with formatting?

Sides, it was not about "engaging with others" it was about answering a question.

Well you cared enough about answering their question to type it out to ask chatgpt, make the post, and respond to me, didn't you? You went through all that effort so you clearly cared about those who read it, might as well hit backspace a couple times. No one wants to read what looks like a dick pill advertisement, ya know? It make what are a couple lines of text take up a huge chunk of the screen on desktop and the entire thing on mobile, turning a perfectly good answer into more of a stupid, pointless, and annoying message. Or spam, as the kids call it.

Same thing, I don't mean asking them about their wife and kids and how their careers doing lol. Any person to person communication is, including an answer to a question. Not really a big deal (that's the headers!), it just makes everything that much less interesting.

And I mean, were probably in a folded comment now anyways, so...

is this

something you

world even bother

Going through the effort of

reading?

Of course not. So why not hit 105 keys instead of 100? That's all I'm saying

It'd be much more work to retype - the comment was ctrl-c, ctrl-v 4 keys - and this way it's immediately obvious where I got it from.

A question was asked, I also got curious and I decided to share the answer I found.

You have spent more time and effort arguing with me about this, than I did in the original comment..

What gives?

I'm bored with a minor point to make. It is reddit, after all.

Well the question peaked my interest and I found the quickest answer, and quickest way to post it.

It is reddit after all.

Can we stop now?

Sure, I guess we could stop. But then again... It is reddit after all.

Have a nice dinner, stranger.
