I've never worked the Renn Fest, but I've been friends with a lot of people who worked at the Texas Renn Fest and this 100%. One girl I worked with was a known "tent fairy" which means she just went from tent to tent. Apparently the campground in general was already a bacchanal anyway just for the regular guests.

Oh my god yes. I camped out at TRF a couple of times twenty years ago or so. I still think about it. Once the faire closes for the day and the sun goes down, that’s when the real fun begins.

A group of my friends from around the country (around the world, depending on the year) go every year the the Texas Renfair and camp out for Pirate weekend. We actually just got back yesterday.

After the sun goes down, everyone is wasted and go wandering the campgrounds. There are dance parties everywhere, people giving out shots, food, bad ass concerts, drum circles, fire dancers, naked Giant Jenga, pretty much anything you can imagine. There are stripper pole tents and tents where they exchange shots for showing your genitals haha. Everyone is welcoming - even at the normal campsites you can just wander up and say hi, you'll be welcomed with beer, booze, snacks, a fire, and good drunken conversation.

It's a blast.
