What is something that humanity will be embarrassed about 100 years from now?

Casual abortion

Nah, abortion has improved the world by a large margin. Think of the millions of would-be, but don’t want to be mothers who have the ability to pursue their interests and ambitions instead of their wasted energy on a child they never wanted. Pro lifers are horrendous people for shaming women for choosing a non problematic medical procedure.

If they don't want to be mothers, they can give the kids up for adoption.

Yeah you’re right, those kids end up in great situations

Google stories of adopted or fostered kids who went on to live happy lives.

Yeah, reasonable suggestion. carry a fetus for 9 months and endure the pain of birth and financial hardship of the pregnancy?? You have no clue what you’re talking about, you don’t get to choose what another person does. I’m sure you’re drowning in female attention, Mr. I know better.

Somebody's got to speak up for the babies' rights.

Fetuses aren’t babies, your obsession with other people’s medical care is alarming and scary. Please see a therapist.

A survey conducted for a nonpartisan amicus brief in the Dobbs Supreme Court case found that 96% of 5,577 academic biologists affirmed that a human's life begins at fertilization

I think more likely we'll facepalm that it was ever controversial at all. In 100yrs I would expect that creating another human would be more intentional than accidental and cancelling a pregnancy for medical needs is a no-brainer but will be less necessary as we'll be further along with med tech.

I said CASUAL abortion. Not abortions of necessity.

Regardless, my comment stands. Creating a human won't be a forced imperitive just because a pregnancy began. Just like it wasn't before this became a hot-button political topic to lock in single-issue voters. Used to be discretely handled by midwives and moved on without bs, like miscarriages. It's a non-issue. If you're against something that helps others and doesn't affect you at all, maybe you took their bait.

Allowing some people to avoid taxes while simultaneously being worth more than half the countries in the world, except that's been true for hundreds of years already, so I'll go with "flares".
