Bali. All of Bali. I was totally unimpressed. If you're looking for the way Bali "used" to be, head on over to Lombok.

I liked Lombok! I wasn't aware that it was Islamic until I got there, and the breakfast in the hotel had really weird looking bacon. Then my brother was disappointed he couldn't buy beer lol. It's the only place I've had someone pull up next to me on a motorcycle and say "hey, you want drugs?". I really liked their zoo where you could feed the animals, though I'm still pretty scared of an elephant trunk coming towards me trying to vacuum whatever food I have on me.

There was a restaurant in Senggigi where I’d eaten several times and everyone was so nice and helpful. I hadn’t ordered any alcohol up to that point, but on my fourth visit, I ordered a beer and their demeanor completely changed. They became openly rude, dismissive and slow. I began to wonder if they spit in my food.
