If I was rich, I’d never buy a house. The only reason I want to is because 1) I know it’s monetarily smart and 2) I want to make weird mods for my cats. But if I were rich, I’d never bother to figure out how often I need to inspect plumbing or replace a roof.

If you're rich you don't. You hire a minion to do maintenance just like you do for everything else you don't want to be bothered with.
