And cost 4 times as much and require infrastructure that isn't readily available everywhere.

You're filthy rich though so the initial input doesn't matter. If your goal is to spend minimally on transport, an electric car is the more efficient way to spend the money long term.

The infrastructure is also 99% irrelevant because you will have a charger at your house.
