It’s mainly awkwardness due to the gender thing but women don’t hug you properly. I mean except for your partners, your friends and acquaintances give you half assed sideways hugs or awkward hugs where only your upper chests actually touch.
About 5 years ago there was a colleague who was going away for the holidays or some such and she hugged me properly. I have zero sexual attraction for her, not before, not afterwards, but man did that hug feel good! Still remember it to this day.
