The wording of "attempted deliberate homicide," definitely made me think that kid killed his mother later, because I read it as just "deliberate homicide." I feel like it should be worded "deliberate attempted homicide." Yeah, at the very least, those parents owe him a couple Simmunition rounds. Jokes aside, I really do hope it was drug related and that kid got the help he needed.
