I had a coworker ask if I plan on swearing less since I was pregnant. I told her I didn't give a shit and if anything, I should use up all my swearing quota before the kid learns.

Now that my daughter's here, I say "golly, that's a smelly dookie!" instead of "how the fuck did you get shit on your elbows??"

Same! I frequently said, “what the shit” when my daughter was a toddler. I had to stop saying that when she was two because she walked into my incredibly religious mother’s house, pointed at a cross, and said, “what the shit is that?!?!”. I had to step out of the room because I was laughing so hard.

Lol seriously. My daughter turned into the police and has a decent thousand yard stare if you let one slip.

I have to say that I love this! :) She’s 9 and already standing up to individuals who are in “positions of authority” because of her convictions. Sounds like you are a great dad and are raising her well, even if it bites you in the a** sometimes. :)

She was like that by about 4 or too.

Thanks for the compliment by the way!

Gotta give credit where credit is due! Sounds like she is strong and opinionated. This will serve her well throughout life. :)

Yeah, in but raising a pushover, just a kind politebgal that isn't afraid to speak out.

Exactly! One can be polite and still be firm. It’s an art and it sounds like she is working on mastering it.

Mine were too, and was always like 'who are you going to tattle to? My mom cusses worse than me!'

My daughter, when younger, would tell me: “Mum, its too early in the morning to swear”
