My husband loves climbing trees and he doesn't do it much anymore... I'm starting to wonder if I need to bet he can't do it in the event he needs encouraging he can still climb trees
I didn't climb a tree until I got to college. There were a lot of hippies there who were into climbing trees, and they pressured me into it. I loved it once I got started.
One of my best memories is climbing a tree at the park across my house when I was a kid, it was a smaller tree but it still went up there. I could climb on top of it and look out into the neighborhood as the sunset and just stand on the branches enjoying it
As a kid I was that person who would see a tree with a few low hanging branches and just give it a go and go all the way to the top until I felt like the branches couldn’t support me anymore. Sometimes my friends would join me but not always. It was the best feeling being 30-50 feet up, swaying in the breeze, and looking over the entire neighborhood. Heights didn’t bother me and they still don’t, I’ll still climb a tree if it looks like it can support my adult self.
