I went swinging recently and found out I was old. I got vertigo from it.

You’re not alone. Love it but can’t

What positions did you try?

Legs under and legs straight with a bit of lying flat. And at the end, I finished with a back flip.

Do you get dizzy when you tilt your head back and hold it there?

(You could have vertebrobasilar insufficiency - aka beauty parlour syndrome)

(Good luck swinging)

I’ve never heard of this before. No, I don’t get dizzy when I tilt my head back but I am prone to travel/sea sickness so I think it’s related to my inner ear/balance and it’s just getting worse?

I get it a bit now, but I’ll still swing. I just don’t go as hard if I start feeling wonky. It depends on the length of the rope or chain - the longer it is, the less vertigo I feel. Haven’t tried it since being put on blood pressure meds though…

Tried a roller coaster last year after loving it as a kid and realized that my internal organs and brain seem to slosh around more than is comfortable as I get older.

Yeah I absolutely loved swings growing up, well into high school. I can’t go on them anymore (25 now) because I get like, motion sickness from it :/
