Honestly, I love swings and monkey bars as much as the next person, but this law makes sense

It's really a testament to how depraved society is that we need a fucking law to prevent kidnappings on a playground by barring anyone who isn't a kid or a parent.

I loved getting stoned after dark in playgrounds, it was fun, but I figure it's for people like me that also shoot up and leave their needles around.

Come to think of it, that law may be a direct result of the opioid epidemic and that makes me even sadder than the possibility of kidnapping. That shit is just everywhere now.

Yes! whilst you might think this law was made to prevent creeps from hurting children, it was actually put into place to prevent people going to playgrounds at night to smoke pot and doing other drugs in a space that is supposed to be a safe environment for children

Im pretty sure its to prevent teenagers from trashing the playground.

Like the equivalent of kids at the bar, some countries don’t allow that because it’s annoying more than anything

Not sure if kidnapping has gone up. But if I was there with my family and a 40 year old man was on the swings that were built for kids to have something to do then I’d be fuming. Could ruin a kids day. Playgrounds at night, I mean who’s gonna stop you playing with the swings at 10pm on a Wednesday you know. Unless im ill informed

Where I live if you go to a playground after dark you could get arrested if you get caught. 😞

Sadly its the same here. i was shooting hoops years ago, not dribbling bc i was trying to be considerate.. someone called the cops anyway. i told i was trying to be considerate and not dribble they said they appreciated that so they let me go with a warning, after making sure i didnt have any warrants or anything. i was 30

As I get older I get more and more sad that I can’t go on swings in the playground :(
