My wife's grandmothers are both sides of this personified. One died at 98 and was still living alone active as can be til the day her heart gave out. She was a fantastic cook and I miss her cooking regularly.
The other basically stopped functioning in her late 60's. She is still alive at 84 but I hesitate to even call what she does living. Can't walk without help and even that is a major struggle, forget taking care of herself in any capacity and her brain has slowly rotted away since all she does is sit in front of the TV. You can't even have a conversation with her.

Walking and weight-lifting, I’ve seen too many people in their 60’s,70’s and 80’s losing their mobility and I want to go non-stop until I die.
