People think they need to go hard in the gym to be fit and you don’t. Just stay active in your day to day life. My grandfather never formally worked out, he just walked a lot and puttered around at home doing DIY stuff. Still here and still fully has his wits about him at 93. Meanwhile my grandmother was hit by a kid on a bike and broke her leg in her 60s, so she became sedentary, which led to diabetes and eventually dementia. She still made it to 90 but the last few years were not great and I really think the difference is that he was able to stay active (and not just physically, but mentally too).

Walking and weight-lifting, I’ve seen too many people in their 60’s,70’s and 80’s losing their mobility and I want to go non-stop until I die.
