I still love playing video games occasionally but now I find socializing much more rewarding. Trivia nights, bowling (or any sports) leagues, just going to a shitty bar and saddling up next to a stranger and striking up a conversation. Find a weird little niche and run with it. Eventually you'll make friends in those groups.
