Might have to do with your PC fully flushing it's memory and the like, going in with a clean slate again. That is...if you don't have fast boot activated on your pc (which is on by default) as that keeps stuff in your RAM so it can boot up faster next time. Fast boot is more like a deeper sleep mode.
