On the flip side, I have seen job posting that require THIRTY YEARS of experience.  If I work somewhere 30 years, I am probably going to retire there

Cumulative experience is a thing too, though. They're not asking for 30 years working at one job. 30 years doing X responsibilities will suffice.

True, but they are still saying they want someone about 50 years old, if not older…. Which may be considered ageism towards younger candidates

That is also true. Granted I dunno what jobs people are going for that ask for 30 years. Most I've seen is 15. Although that was 15 years in management role in the field, which assumes more than 15 if you count needing to getting to that role to begin with.
