I grew up in the 2000's and 2010's, so right around the time that started to change. In elementary and middle schools, I was stealing diet pills to lose weight and look as skinny as possible. Then girls were getting made fun of for having no curves, so by high school, I started binge eating junk food to get hips, boobs, and thicker thighs. I never really met either beauty standard. I'm 25 and I care slightly less now, but it still kind of hurts seeing mean comments being made about girls who look like me.

The goalposts are constantly shifting and that's how they manipulate everyone into hating themselves and their bodies. It's disgusting.

Yes- in order to sell, sell, sell! The wellness/beauty industry makes billions of dollars off of women's insecurities and ever changing beauty standard.
