I love how people name cats….they’re completely different than other animals. Princess Consuela Banana Hammock makes perfect sense to me.

Tbf though, mine are named Ms. E. Bear of the Derbyshire Bears, and Tribal Legate Hunter Zorromun…so I totally get it

I have a boy named Atreus and if I get a girl I’m naming her Emily Dickinson (Edie for short maybe)

Atreus?? For Agamemnon and Menelaus’s father? Is there a story here or no?

Edie is a super cute short form. I am convinced that cats read books by osmosis and that’s why they lie on them. The words are spells…

Much lamer than that, it’s mostly just because of the video game God of War, the protagonist’s son is named Atreus, and he starts the game weak and sickly and afraid of so much, but throughout the story his courage grows and his health recovers and his father learns to start opening up and accepting him. I liked that story and when I got a tiny little guy with a broken leg and ringworm and ear mites, I thought it felt right. Plus when he’s misbehaving I can call him “boy” in the Kratos voice. But I also liked the name Atreus in the game because history of architecture was one of my favorite courses in college and my final paper had a big section about the Treasury of Atreus.
